Nomination Letter Selection Criteria

RE: Nomination and Selection of New Scholars for 2012-2013 Nominations will be sought in the fall of 2011 for the selection of new members to the Society of Teaching Scholars for 2012-2013.

Nominees must be a member of the faculty of the University of Florida College of Medicine, put forth 500 hours of educational effort per year (~10 hours per week) over at least five years at the University of Florida and be involved in the training of students (medical, graduate or physician assistant), residents and/or fellows. Applicants are required to submit an educational portfolio in the fall of 2011. The educator portfolio requirements can be viewed here.

Faculty potentially interested in applying should review the format of the portfolio now so that they can begin to collect the necessary documentation. As the fall approaches, specific dates for nominations, letters of intent and the portfolio due date will be provided.
