Vote required

  • Proposal to transition Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine Clerkship from graded to S/U
Historically if a graded course gives mostly one grade due to inability to discriminate well, they can propose to transition to S/U. This lst occurred with geriatrics clerkship. Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine Clerkship presented a variety of factors leading to their difficulty discriminating performance beyond S/U and as this is a 4th year course, this will not affect the residency application process or class ranking. Discussed pros and cons of transitioning to S/U.
    • Motion to approve changing the Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine Clerkship from letter grade to S/U in the next academic year.
    • Motion was seconded and approved.
  • HSS Syllabus LO’s and Assessments
    • HSS 1B assessment changes
Removal of an editorial project as learning objective being assessed in alternate project.
    • HSS 2B LO’s and assessment changes
Moving content to HSS 2A to decompress HSS 2B per student feedback and to make room for the cognitive bias workshop.
    • Motion to approve the changes to the HSS 1B and 2B syllabi.
    • Motion was seconded and approved.
  • Changes to committee membership and processes related to RMC
Provided information that some verbiage and items will change as we evolve to having the Jacksonville Regional Medical Campus.
  • Miscellaneous
