THE LEARNER WITH DIFFICULTY
Description: Learners may have difficulty for a number of reasons, including but not limited to disinterest, substance abuse, neurocognitive deficits, and mental or physical illness. This interactive workshop is designed to allow participants to work through a series of cases illustrating important points in evaluating the learner with difficulty, and deciding on an appropriate course of action.
Format: 2 – 4 hour workshop

Description: This interactive session provides participants with approaches to identifying causes of student and resident difficulty, as well as techniques for intervention and remediation.
Format: This interactive session can be modified to fit the participants’ needs, and can be presented in various formats between 1 and 3 hours.
