TEACHING CLINICAL REASONING SKILLS
Description: This presentation explores the notion of clinical reasoning and how to teach and evaluate such skills. The content will include attempts to define clinical reasoning, review literature regarding pedagogy in this area, and describe a specific small group strategy used during the Medicine Clerkship to develop clinical reasoning skills in 3rd year medical students.
Format: This is a 30-40 minute didactic presentation which can be modified as needed for a specific audience.
